Sign Up to the Constitution Discussion Group The Sacramento Constitution Discussion Group is a group of people who have been meeting twice a month for over two years to learn about the Constitution for the United States of America, because we believe in the unalienable rights that God bestowed upon us. We are grateful for the power and duties of the people, as well as the duties and limitations of our elected representatives. A constitution changes the demands of a mob into the lawful voice of the people. “A constitution is not the act of a government, but of a people constituting a government,” said Thomas Paine. From the beginning of our Republic, oppositional forces were at work to bring disinformation into our schools and our public forums, including the media. For generations, even though we were taught that we lived in the “land of the free and the home of the brave,” these forces continued to undermine our knowledge of how a Republic actually works, and we became ignorant of our rights and duties. Only “We, the People” can save the Republic at this time by becoming educated through local discussion groups among the people so we can begin practicing the principles of Due Process as designated in the original Constitution of 1787 and holding our representatives to that same standard. We invite friends, relatives and neighbors who share our love of liberty in their hearts, and/or those who are questioning all the chaos we see in our government, to join our efforts to learn and be awakened to the power they have been given through our founding documents. This includes people from all political viewpoints, as the Constitution covers the rights of all citizens. If you like what you see here, you can register to be part of the on-going courses as they occur. There is no cost to attend. “Knowledge will forever govern ignorance and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives.” ~ James Madison
